Terms & Conditions

By placing an Order, you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions as laid out below. These do not affect your statutory rights. Any contract created by placing an order with us will be governed by Swedish law.

In the event of conflict or inconsistency between the terms of the Swedish language version of this Agreement and any translation provided by us, the Swedish language version shall prevail.

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. If you are younger we require a written permission from a parent or guardian.

Orders made in another person's name without his/hers consent, or in any other way leads to economic damage to Torgstenen will be considered fraudulent and will duly be reported to the Police.

Torgstenen shall not be liable for the consequences of any error or omission in the descriptions, illustrations, colours, dimensions or other information supplied by Torgstenen. Please note that photographs on our the website does not necessarily reflect the true colours of the items. You may order a limited number of yarn samples so that you can check the colours, please see under “Yarn Samples” (Garnprov).

Cancellation of Order

In cases where the delivery is being delayed and you no longer wishes the delivery of the Order, you may cancel the order in accordance with Torgstenen's cancellation terms. Cancellation after the order has been processed (sent) is not possible.

Cancellations are not valid until you have received confirmation from us by e-mail or fax.

Ownership rights reserved

All goods remain Torgstenen's property until full payment is made.

With a Credit card

Pay with Visa / MasterCard and Diners cards safely and securely over the Internet immediately after ordering. Your payment is delivered by CertiTrade, http://www.certitrade.net/ with secure encryption under strict banking standards. Your card details are sent directly to the bank and can not be read by anyone other than your bank. No additional fees will be added to card.

VAT and Duty

If you live in the EU Value Added Tax Area or the goods are being delivered within the EU Value Added Tax Area; we have to charge you the Swedish VAT included in our prices (currently at 25%) unless you are EU based (not Swedish) and can supply us with a valid EU VAT Registration number; which we can verify as being attributable to the business or name you wish us to charge.

Outside of the EU Value Added Tax Area there is no Swedish VAT payable and we will deduct the Swedish VAT. Please make sure that you enter the correct country when you register as a customer (for example if you live in Åland enter 'Åland Islands' instead of 'Finland'). You may however be liable for local customs duty and or taxes, please check with your local authorities what is applicable as we are unable to advise on this.

Special terms for customers in Norway .

Duty is payable to the courier on or prior to delivery of the goods; who will have already paid these in advance on your behalf to clear customs - they may also add a brokerage fee for this service - we cannot be responsible for these .

We do our best with the use of the correct tariff codes and paperwork to minimise this liabilty - however; these charges are completely outside of our control.

Under no circumstances can we under value goods on paperwork to reduce Customs and duty charges. This constitutes fraud and has serious implications for us. Please do not ask us to do so.

Liability for defects

Torgstenen's responsibility for errors in delivery is limited to existing conditions of sale. Torgstenen bears no direct or indirect responsibility for example, but not limited to, delivery delays, downtime, data loss, additional work or other economic harm.

Returns and complaints

Private consumers have the right to return the goods the purchase within 14 days of receipt with no particular reason. The goods and its original packaging must be returned unused. This right does not cover products that are customized or tailored for a particular customer.
Please verify that your delivery is correct as soon as possible after you receive the goods.

If the delivery is damaged in transport, whether the damage is visible or hidden, it should be notified immediately to the shipper (normally the Post Office) within 7 days.

If you receive damaged goods that has not been damaged during transport, you must contact Torgstenen claims department within five days, by telephone +46 (0)703-658056, e-mail , or via our website www.torgstenen.se and state your order-id and the reason for the complaint.

If you for any reason need to return the goods to us, you must first contact us and receive a Return Number (RN). Return packages must be clearly marked with the RN. Defective products returned to us must be treated as if they were faultless. Take care when packaging and if possible, use the original packaging materials.

It is in all types of returns extremely important that the product is packaged in well so that is does not get damaged. Ideally use the original packaging materials. which means that the customer is entitled to receive the freight paid in return a valid file.

If you exercise your right to return the goods without particular reason, you must pay postage. If you return goods that are damaged or incorrectly delivered (an error made by us) we will reimburse you the costs for postage.
