A happy Hummingbird!
Another knitting project that has taken some time...
But it’s not due to a complicated pattern for the
overlap vest, oh no, it’s just that I have that bad habit of starting new knitting projects before I’m entirely ready with the ongoing project, perhaps there is a cure for that addiction?
Anyway, the yarn used is the lovely
Hummingbird DK by Artesano.
The Dream Cardigan is also completed!
Knitted in thick, so soft
Artesano Aran-yarn.
... and a loose shawl done in 100% linen yarn...
It felt a bit weird to knit the thin yarn on thick needles, but the shawl turned out to be rahter nice when ready.

Cardigan ready!
Finally, yesterday night it was completed – hubbys’ cardigan-christmas-present!
The last button was fastened as it was fitting-time, and it was a perfect fit! My husband thanked me for the late Christmas present (with a happy smile, no irony at all) and he wore the cardigan the whole evening.
I was supposed to show a picture of husband in cardigan, but he is more comfortable behind the camera than in front of, so you have to take my word for it – he looks very handsome in his new cardi.

A new knitting project
The parts for my husbands cardigan are resting between moist sheets, and while they are drying I have started on a new knitting project – a
classic cardigan in
Artesanos Aran yarn.
A cardigan that I will use for many years. The cardigan is knitted in stockinette stitches with a little twist to the rib edges and the yarn is just awesome!
A detail picture of the rib edge will come soon...

Why you should be thorough concerning measurement...
Naaah, I didn’t get husbands cardigan ready for Christmas – I hadn’t measured the distance between the increasings on the arms properly, soo, I had to unravel and reknit the arms, size XL, heck!
Well, I got it done, so now all that’s left is to block and sew the pieces together and make a buttonhole edge.

Yarn rediscovered!
My husband Jonny (who’s the one that takes pictures of the yarnballs) isn’t that keen on homemade sweaters, but a snug cardigan was acceptable if he was too choose the model and colour himself.
He chosed a
classic v-neck cardigan in the
Superwash Safir yarn, colour wine-red.
Oh no! I thought, those long and wide pieces (size XL..), and needles no 3½, heck, how boring!
But since he finally wanted something home-knitted I had to get started, and, it wasn’t boring at all. The parts of the cardigan grew fast and it was a really nice yarn to work with.
Perhaps I will get the cardigan ready in time for Christmas eve...

Lottas’ page, start
I can’t hold back any longer, I just want to write a little about my knitting projects!
Some of you customers knows that I’m curious about what you actually do with the yarn you are ordering, so, I want to tell you about what I’m knitting or crocheting, if someone should be interested.
For obvious reasons it will be about projects made with Marks & Kattesn and Artesano yarns...
